Quorum to Participate in Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP) Panel Discussion

(Quorum), a leading provider of business and information technology solutions for the oil, gas, and renewable energy industry, announces that Eric Hazeldine, Vice President of the Quorum Canadian practice, will participate on a panel discussion focused on preparing for the Energy Resource Conservation Board’s (ERCB) new Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP).

 

Quorum will discuss key considerations and best practices for aligning business processes and controls to meet the requirements the new directive will place on operators. These topics include: developing methods to track and control measurement values from recording devices to related accounting systems, automating processes that result in volumetric submission to the Petroleum Registry of Alberta, and the benefits of having controls and conducting self-evaluations, such as increased accuracy and completeness of volumetric data, and decreases in revisions and amendments in production accounting and joint venture accounting.

 

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting (CAPPA) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1961 to provide a common body and voice for those involved with accounting for petroleum products. The 2009 CAPPA Conference takes place on Wednesday, October 21 at the BMO Centre in Calgary, AB.
