Quorum to Present on the Importance of Meter & Volume Data Validation at Industry Measurement Group Meeting 

Calgary – November 9, 2009. Quorum Business Solutions, Inc. (Quorum), a leading provider of business and information technology solutions for the oil, gas, and renewable energy industry, announces that Bruce Wallace, Sr. Measurement Product Specialist at Quorum, will participate on a panel discussion focused on the validation of meter and volumetric data in the gas and liquids measurement process.

 

Quorum will focus on how enterprise fluid measurement software systems, like PGAS and TechTools, assist with meter and volume data validation by automating validation processes. Specifically, Quorum will discuss the importance of validation and the benefits received when validation practices are implemented. Some of these benefits include: reducing prior period adjustments (PPAs) and associated PPA processing costs; decreasing accounting settlement cycle time by automated import, validation, processing and reporting of data; increasing efficiencies through the automated discovery and reporting of most problems; enhancing customer value by eliminating data errors; and assuring compliance with ERCB Directive 017 and facilitating evaluations of controls as required by EPAP.

 

The Industry Measurement Group (IMG) is part of the Canadian Institute of Hydrocarbon Measurement (CIHM) and is recognized by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) as a formal voice for measurement. The IMG meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 10 at the EnCana Amphitheatre in Calgary, AB.
