Quorum Selected to Present at 2011 International School of Hydrocarbon Measurement
Sessions Will Address How to Improve Measurement Efficiencies through Validation of Measurement Data and Implementing Effective Measurement Policies
Houston – May 5, 2011. Quorum Business Solutions, Inc. (Quorum), a leading provider of business and information technology solutions for the oil, gas, and renewable energy industry, to conduct two educational presentations at the 2011 International School of Hydrocarbon Measurement (ISHM) – Benefits around Timely Analysis of Measurement Data and Measurement Policies and Procedures: Development and Implementation Considerations. Quorum is also holding a hands-on workshop that demonstrates ways to assist field technicians with measurement facility inspection and management using Quorum TechTools.
Quorum’s first presentation, Benefits around Timely Analysis of Measurement Data, is a discussion of how to identify the appropriate types of measurement data to validate and their associated tolerances. In conjunction with this, we will review the importance of establishing an understanding of analysis and validation checks, the benefits of developing problem resolution procedures and the improvements and efficiencies realized in measurement processes by electronically capturing field measurement data.
The session Measurement Policies and Procedures: Development and Implementation Considerations emphasizes the importance of developing and maintaining measurement protocol within an organization and how to involve stakeholders in order to receive buy-in to the process and implementation. We will discuss how following a well thought-out plan will help improve your company’s business processes and reduce risk.
The Quorum TechTools hands-on session focuses on how electronic field data capture enables measurement technicians to complete equipment maintenance tasks in the field and communicate this information directly back to the office allowing the organization to use more accurate, complete, and timely data. Participants will learn how to electronically capture meter test information, verify meter configuration accuracy and calculate volume for reporting purposes due to various gas loss events.
ISHM will be held May 10-12, 2011 at the Cox Communications Business Center in Oklahoma City.
