Sago Energy Licenses Quorum
TIPS for New Gas Plant Operations
Houston, Texas – June 12th, 2003. Quorum
Business Solutions, Inc. (Quorum) has licensed a number of
Quorum Energy Suite software products to Sago Energy, LLC
(Sago). The products licensed to Sago include Quorum TIPS,
Quorum Division Order/Disbursements and Quorum Regulatory
Reporting. Sago, an independent full service midstream company
based in Houston, is the twenty-first licensed user of Quorum
TIPS, the industry’s de facto standard for natural
gas plant management (allocations and accounting).
In March 2003, Sago broadened its business to include gas
plant operations with the acquisition of the Jameson Gas
Plant and Gathering System located in Coke County, Texas
from Devon Energy. The plant is a 50,000Mcfd cryogenic facility
with fractionation capabilities. The associated gathering
system covers 2,300 miles in 14 counties on the eastern shelf
of the Permian basin.
Sago selected the Quorum products to help manage the complexity
and size of its new business processes. Quorum TIPS, which
now handles approximately 80% of all plant production across
the USA, was the obvious choice for a solution. The availability
of Quorum’s Division Order, Disbursements and Regulatory
Reporting products on an integrated basis was an added bonus.
The software is scheduled to be implemented and in production
by July 2003.
